Which synthesizer do you regret letting go. I had to sell my Oberheim OB-8 a few years back and I really miss it. Now the price seems to sky rocket and its hard to find a good deal. Do you have similar experiences?
My first Juno 60 keeps haunting me.
1) Two (!) EMS Synthi A plus KS and DK2. Sold for peanuts in the 80s... :-((
2) Matten+Wiechers / SSB "Banana" (similar to OBX) :-(
3) Wurlitzer 200A (OK, it's not a synth...) :-/
I sold my Jupiter 8 two or three years ago..
Fuck....i wish it back..
I sold it to cheap.. now he is worth the money 2-3 times...prices climbed incredible high since i sold mine... i miss it really..
I semi-missed my Moog Rogue but replaced it with a cheap Taurus 2.
I can miss the Korg PS-3200 from now and then, but that's more or less 'cause I've seen the prices people ask for one today. it was also a eye-catcher to visitors in the studio. :)
I had a pair of Roland MC-307's I used to use for live shows 10 years ago and I wash I had them back now. Totally versatile little boxes and much more usable than the rest of the "Groove" line at that time. Ahh, eBay...
I also miss my old Quasimidi Sirius.
My PPG 2.3...I tried to buy it back a few years after I sold it and found out the guy totally trashed it.
The Oberheim OB12.
Buttons, sliders galore and it was blue!
I had it for a few months and sold it along with all the other synths I had at the time. I was a fool !
I got some seriously whacky sounds out of it and it was a joy to programme due to the knobs and sliders. That joy is back in the shape of the JD800 I bought recently.
When I get some cash together, the OB12 will return to me once more.....
LaZZa:
I've heard that the OB12 has a lot of bugs, is this true?
I heard and read the same. I only had it a few months but never had any problems. Latency was supposed to be a big issue, but again, not for me. It did have a very unique sound - a combination of quite harsh filters and not so subtle effects. If I had the money, I would buy another right now - tho they are not coming up too regularly at present. I am looking at the Korg MS2000 instead. Back when they came out I used to own a MS20, MS10 and SQ10. They would be worth a mint now ...

The Memorymoog. I sold it 19 years ago and have regretted it may times since. They're impossible to find now. It was Moog's only quality polyphonic synth. There was the Polymoog before that, but it was hideously unreliable.
